DR. STEFANIE BOGGESS
OWNER, DVM
Please welcome the new owner of the Cannondale Animal Clinic, Dr. Stefanie Boggess! Some of you may be familiar with Dr. Boggess, as she previously worked here at the clinic from 2011 to 2015.
Originally from Tampa, Florida, Dr. Boggess graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York. Prior to taking over as the new owner of the Cannondale Animal Clinic, Dr. Boggess was practicing at the New Canaan Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Boggess currently resides in New Canaan with her family, husband Spencer, teenagers Will and Annie, dogs Franklin and Dolly, and a bearded dragon named Beardy. We are all excited for the future of the clinic under Dr. Boggess’s ownership.

Wellness exams give us a chance to evaluate the overall health of your pet while also giving us a baseline for their own unique bodies and tendencies.
Not only do these exams keep us up-to-date with your pet’s health, they also allow us to detect potential problems before they become serious.
DR. PAULA BELKNAP
DVM
Dr. Belknap received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Saint Lawrence University, her Associates of Applied Science Degree to be a Veterinary Technician from Canton SUNY Agricultural & Technical College, her Masters of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1987. After all those years of schooling, Dr. Belknap practiced Emergency Medicine in New Jersey for three years. She then went into private practice in Creamridge, N.J. until 1997 when she returned home to Wilton to take care of her ailing father.
Dr. Belknap’s menagerie includes Shamus the Hound, Mj the Pomerainin, Dulci the Collie, and the Camdon County Stray, Whiskers. The cats at the clinic include three ragamufins often called the greeter cats Gato, Willow and Baluga. At home are six more cats.

DR. JESSICA MELMAN
DVM
Dr. Melman is a third generation veterinarian with both her father and late grandfather as veterinarians. Growing up surrounded by animals and observing both her grandfather and father in their veterinary clinics made her realize that her calling was to help animals through veterinary medicine. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in2003 and then completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine & Surgery inNew York City. Following her internship, she practiced veterinary medicine inNew York City for 10 years before moving to San Francisco where she practiced for 3 years. We are happy to welcome her back to the east coast and to Cannondale Animal Clinic.

Lynne has been with our practice for over 17 years. A lifelong animal lover, she brings her knowledge of animal care from having her own pet store in Darien for over 15 years. In addition to being our office manager she has taken on the role of dental hygienist. Lynne currently resides in Redding with her son Kyle and dog Kessel.

Jim not only manages our front desk, but is also a technician and dog trainer. You will be greeted by him and his well-behaved, sweet dog Shelby at reception. Please feel free to ask him about his dog training classes.

Zoe is a technician, who started at Cannondale Animal Clinic in July 2020 after leaving her menswear design job at J.Crew in NYC to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She will be joining the class of 2025 next year at vet school.
